By Road – north from Rome (Roma) or south from Florence (Firenze)
We are just 15 minutes from the A1 motorway, ‘Valdichiana exit’ in the Tuscan countryside. Just follow these easy steps to find us:
- Take the Valdichiana exit off the A1 motorway.
- Set your trip-meter to zero (0 km) immediately after you pass through the toll booth at the Valdichiana exit. (0km)
- Turn right following signs for PERUGIA / CORTONA
- At the roundabout, take the first exit signposted PERUGIA / CORTONA leading you onto the Superstrada called the raccordo BETTOLLE / PERUGIA (0.6 km)
- Take the 2nd exit off the Superstrada signposted (Uscita) CORTONA also MONTEPULCIANO / S. LORENZO (12.9 km)
- Turn left at junction following signs for CENTOIA (13.2 km)
- Continue on this road (SP32) for 2.0 km, you should then see a large sign for CENTOIA on the right. (15.2 km)
- Immediately past this sign, take the first road on the right signposted CIGNANO (15.3 km)
- Continue on this road for 3.6km then turn left at the ‘T- junction’ (18.9 km)
- Continue for 0.7km then turn right at the monument situated on the left hand side of the road, a crucifix set in red brick. (19.6 km)
- Continue on this road for 0.1 km up to the church (19.7 km)
- Where the tarmac ends, bear right around the church, then continue on the gravel road down hill slowly for 0.7 km.
- Welcome to Podere il Cipollaio on your left. (20.4 km)
By Road – from Perugia
Follow signs for A1 FIRENZE (signposted in green) which brings you onto the BETTOLLE / PERUGIA Superstrada.
- Take the exit signposted CORTONA also MONTEPULCIANO / S. LORENZO
- Turn right at junction following signs for CENTOIA. At this point set your trip-meter to zero (0 km )
- Continue on this road for 2.0 km you should then see a large sign for CENTOIA on the right. (2 km)
- Immediately past this sign, take the first road on the right signposted CIGNANO (2.1 km)
- Continue on this road for 3.6 km then turn left at the ‘T- junction’. (5.7 km)
- Continue for 0.7 km then turn right at the monument situated on the left hand side of the road a crucifix set in red brick (6.4 km)
- Continue on this road for 0.1 km up to the church (6.5 km)
- Where the tarmac ends, bear right around the church, then continue on the gravel road down hill slowly for 0.7 km.
- Welcome to Podere il Cipollaio on your left. (7.2 km)
By Road – from Siena
- From Siena follow signs for PERUGIA (signposted in blue), which brings you onto the SIENA / BETTOLLE Superstrada.
- Take the exit signposted CORTONA also MONTEPULCIANO / S. LORENZO
- Turn left at junction following signs for CENTOIA. At this point set your trip-meter to zero (0 km)
- Continue on this road for 2.0 km you should then see a large sign for CENTOIA on the right. (2 km)
- Immediately past this sign, take the first road on the right signposted CIGNANO (2.1 km)
- Continue on this road for 3.6 km then turn left at the ‘T- junction’. (5.7 km)
- Continue for 0.7 km then turn right at the monument situated on the left hand side of the road a crucifix set in red brick (6.4 km)
- Continue on this road for 0.1 km up to the church (6.5 km)
- Where the tarmac ends, bear right around the church, then continue on the gravel road down hill slowly for 0.7 km.
- Welcome to Podere il Cipollaio on your left. (7.2 km)
